traction
notion (spent 6 hrs. in ER, didn't like his advice and signed out against doc's advice. went to orthopod on Monday and he basically agreed with my line of thinking. Me and the ER doc just about came to blows!
nurses
Mine is an RN, and the ER at her hospital is horrible!!!! Glad you got some sound advice.
sanitarium (What is it with ERs? Don't understand it even one little bit.)
migraine
Unders taffing is a HUGE problem where my wife works. Not just the ER but the entire hospital.
excuse (problem for me wasn't understaffing, it was a chatty ER doc. He and the patient next door held a rather lengthy conversation about going to Sarah Bush in Mattoon. Don't know why but I could hear the conversation clearly. As far as nurses, etc., there were more of them than there were patients. You figure it out!)
empathy
I quit trying to figure out why hospitals do the things they do. My wife comes home with stories that make me shake my head.
yucky
People who live around here have lost faith in our local hospital, me among them after my last ER visit. Used to work for the place and thot that the hospital was getting a bum rap. Don't think that any more!!
yogurt
My wife has said many times if she gets sick, do not take her the the hospital where she works.
lackadaisical
scary too
liability
Doctors bury their mistakes and no one is the wiser. My husband died January 1, 2013 but they had been trying to kill him for months. It was a daily ritual for them to tell us that he was going to die. We didn't appreciate their attitude nor their ethics. It's like they thought we were idiots. He had ALS but had the will to live as long as the disease allowed. Inpatients without family to see that they get good care can no longer rely on the medical community to do what it is they have sworn to do, i.e. do no harm.
