TBD on Ning

We are down to the final 3 games for each team. However what generally is an exciting time for both the players and the fans alike, will not be as joyful as it have been in years past. Week 15 begins with the very tragic death of a Cincinatti Bengals Wide Receiver by the name of Chris Henry. He have been with The Bengals for all 5 years of his NFL career, and he was only 26 years old. Please read all about the tragic situation/accident that took his life on the following thread.

Christmas is a time when the Spirits should be made bright--but when things like this happens, espeically at Christmas time--it makes for a difficult holiday to be celebrated. Let us all send out our thoughts and prayers to Chris Henry's friends and family, as well as the entier Bengals organization. They will be playing thier game against San Diego this Sunday--and to honor Chris--they will all have the #15 (Henry's #) on thier helmets. Even with that said--You and I both know there is no easy way to deal with something like this...so soon.

What are the most influential games for this week? Well...with the exception of 2 or 3 games--they are pretty much ALL influencial, if the Teams that are playing the game want to keep whatever Wildcard hope they might have alive. Of course--just typing that would be too easy to do--so maybe I should find games with more influences then other--huh? Ok--Let me see here.

Perhaps the game with the most "Everybody will be with these folks" AND most influential game as well, can go to the Cincinnati Bengals (9/4) San Diego Chargers (10/3). This game still could have been just The most influential game, should earlier mentioned circumstances have not happened--or even been mentioned. Both teams are in 1st place in thier divisions, (2 games up each), which means that the team who wins this one--could very potentially clinch thier division today) This of course would also be dependent on what the 2nd place teams in each division do with thier game--especially if either The Ravens (2nd place to Bengals), or The Broncos (2nd place to Chargers) should lose thier respected games.

Which of course brings us to the games with the most 'co-dependent issues' influences--and we give that honor to both the Oakland Raiders (4/9) Denver Broncos (8/5), and the Chicago Bears (5/8) Baltimore Ravens (7/6) games. Yep!! That is right!! The Bentals are depending on The Raiders to beat The Broncos--and The Chargers are depending on The Bears to beat The Ravens. Somehow--I am not too sure if I wanna get any hopes up for either The Bengals or The Chargers to get what they hope for in either of these games.

This week's game with the most 'do or die' influences belongs to the New England Patriots (8/5) Buffalo Bills (5/8) game. The Patriots and The Bills are in the same division, (AFC East). The Patriots are in 1st place in that division, and The Bills are in last place in that division, However the difference between the 2 teams is just 3 games. The Bills are also just 3 games shy in The Wildcard race as well. So--If The Bills DO NOT win this one--they will instantly be kicked out of both--thier divisional race--and thier Wildcard race!

The game with the most 'have no influences what soever' influences belongs to the Cleveland Browns (2/11) Kansas City (3/10) game. Both of these teams are out of both races! There fore it doesn't matter whether either team loses--it won't effect any teams in the league as far as whether or not they make the Divional races or the W/C races! Hoever-perhaps the best prize it shall accomplish will be that dramatic battle for last place!

Tonight Colts/Jaguars, (Both in the same divisions and where The Colts currently have a 6 games lead over the 2nd place jags), will be on The NFL network--However NFL.com will apparently have the game online and for free tonight. So if you do not have the NFL Network--that could be something u might want to take advantage of. The Saints/Cowboys game will be played on Saturday, (Don't ask me why--I do not have the foggiest idea why!), and it is also going to be on the NFL Network. I do not at this time know if NFL.com will show that game online for free as well. Guess we will all find out together!

Ok folks--That is the best taht i have for this week--As always--if u see something I miss, or u just want to send out a "GO______________" to your team, then by all means add it. And please remember to be in special thoughts and prayers, as The Bengals' organization as well as the family and friends of 23 year old Chris Henry--during such a sorrowful time--during this Christmas Season.

Here are some highlights from my wrap up for week 14, in regards to how The Playoffs are shaping up:

Here is how the playoffs and wildcard races are looking like. The Colts and The Saints are the only teams that have won thier Divisions, with The Colts taking home field advantage. I do not know why they have not yet declared The Saints with a home field advantage--since The Saints are 7 games out in thier division! The only other team guranteed a spot at least in The Wild Card are The (11/2) Vikings. They have not yet won thier Division because there is only a 2 games difference between them and The (9/4) Packers. (How ironic is that?). The Teams that are currently in 1st place in thier respected divisions are:
AFC: Patriots (1 game), Bengals (2 games), Colts (6 games), and Chargers (2 games.)
NFC: Eagles (1 game), Vikings (2 games), Saints (7 games), and Cardinals (2 games.)

At this point--should the standings stay as they are after 16 games are played--The wildcard games would be
AFC: Jaguars vs Bengals, and Broncos vs Patriots (If the Chargers hold thier current position and take thier division).
NFC: Cowboys vs Eagles, and Packers vs Cardinals (If The Vikings hold thier current position and take thier division).

The Wildcard this point.

AFC: There is a tie for 1st place with The Packers and The Cowboys, with The Giants trailing in 2nd place by just 1 game! (urrggggg!! Giants wouldn't have that problem if they would have just won thier game!) The teams that are still (Just barely) in thier divisional race and The Wildcard race are Giants (1 game), and 49ers (2 games). The Teams that are out of The divisional races, but are still in the Wildcard races are Falcons (2 games), Panthers (3 games) Seahawks (3 games) and Bears. But as mentioned, a lot of crazy s*** would certainly have to happen to keep thier hopes alive. AFC teams that are out of both races are Redskins, Lions, Buccaneers and Rams.

NFC: This a bit more of a tighter race. There are 5 teams that hold 1st place spots. They are The Broncos, Jaguars, Ravens, Dolphins and Jets. The tie will of course be broken by the Points allowed and Points For factoring in--should they remain tied up after 16 games. There is a 3 way (1 game difference) between The Steelers, Texans and Titans. Surprisingly The Steelers are the only one of those 3 teams who is still in thier Divisional race as well, being 3 games out. But The Bengals will have to lose thier next 3--and The Steelers will have to win thier next 3 in order to make that count--and I for one do not forsee that happening--do u Larry? The Bills are also a team that is just barely in both races being 3 games out in thier divisional race--and 3 games out in The Wildcards race as well. The Raiders remains only in the wildcard race--being 3 games out. The Chiefs and The Browns are out of both races
Whoops!! Just imagine it in the right order!
Uhhh....yeah!!! What happened there, Moose?
Don't panic yet folks--but The Jags are beating The Colts 17/10--with just under 3 minutes in the half!
Ok--It is 21/17 with The Colts in charge at the end of the half!
Hey Heart. A full day today and I didn't even think of tonight's game until I saw this. Jags winning in the fourth. It's a close one.
And once again the Colts come out on top. 35 - 31
Sorry---but my mes made me fall asleep again. Is there anyway at all they can turn these night games into day games? Anyhow--as UBY mentioned--The Coilts won another 1--But this one was close with a scrore of 35-31!! The Colts are now 14 and 0!!

Ok--whil we are waiting for tomorrow's game--How about a little poll? How many of you want to see just The Colts do a 16-0? How many of you want to see just The Saints do a 16-0??? How many of you would like to see both team go into The Superbowl with 16-0 records?

And perhaps the biggest question--should both teams face each other in The Superbowl with 16-0 records each....which of the 2 teams would u like to see pull a 'Patriots' act, and lose The Superbowl??? (I will anxiously be awaiting to see if anybody will be paying attention to these questions today!)
I was talking to my son in NM last night and he confessed his dream. A Saints - Colts superbowl both undefeated. Now to say which one I would like to see lose: I like them both but would like to see the Saints win it.
Wouldn't it be poetic justice if these two teams do play each other--and it ends up as a tied overtime game??? Then the powers that be will probably be wondering why the heck did decide to make a sudden death rule!
Some of these games on The East Coast are going to be treacherous tomorrow with the added ingredients of having anywhere 2 to 5 feet of snow dropped on them--depending on where the game is played!
Welll\....If there wasn't a 2nd half left to go--The Saints would no longer be an undefeated team--Because The Cowboys are clobbering them 17/3 at the end of the first half!
