Well NFL followers--first off Happy Thanksgivings to all of you, (and you folks in Canada...Happy 26th of November--I guess?). Then the thought hit me that others might be traveling in the morning--and they wouldn't have time to see this thread 2morrow--so I figured now is as good as any time to get it going for everybody around--right?? So what are the games of interest this week? Well it-s kind of hard telling. However I will give it my best try here. Perhaps the most influential game belongs to The Monday Night game between New England and New Orleans. You might remember how close New England came to giving Indianapolis their first lost. Now they will try to make New Orleans a losing team. Finally--New Orlean has a team that can challenge their undefeated stance! (C'mon Patriots!! Lose another game!!)

The game with the most 'can we keep the momentum going?' influences will go to the Arizona/Tennessee game. Arizona have won 3 consecutive games, and they currently hold the 1st place slot in the NFC west Division. Tennessee started off with losing their first 6 games, but they won their last 4 games!! Those 4 wins put them only 2 games behind 1st place Jaguars, Broncos, and Steelers in the Wildcard race. Arizona of course want to hold onto their position--but 5 games in a row would not be too shabby for a team everyone was giving up on after their 1st 6 games.

The game that have 2 even record teams can also be considered as the most "We still got Spirit!" influences game--and it will go to the NY Giants/Denver Broncos. Both of these teams have a 6/4 record--and it is PAINFULLY obvious that neither one of these teams are anywhere near how good they were expected to be--especially when u consider that Denver lost their last 4 after winning their first 6--and The Giants were named the team to beat this year by most sports journalist. Time for these two team to show what type of character they really have!

The Team that really got put into the most misfortune position this week have to be The Cleavland Browns, who been given the predictament of playing The Bengals. Cincinatti was embarrassed last week by losing to Oakland--and surely they will want to lick their wounds this week--meaning they will probably turn the Browns all black and Blue during the game. Pittsburgh Steelers of course got beaten by The Cheifs, and will want to lick their wounds too--however--the difference will be The Steelers are playing (5/5) Ravens--and at least The Ravens can fight back.

Well that is the best that I have so far--If u can think of anything I miss--or if u want to give a 'Go___________' shout for your team(s), please don't be shy--Let it rip! One last thing, I more then likely will be watching the Lions/Packers game--however I won't be able to report on it or make comments during it. If any of you watch the game--do me a favor--and come here to keep tabs on it for us all. Also--The Giants/Broncos game is going to be on NFL Network tomorrow night--and I don't get that station--so again--if u get the game--I hope u will come in here and keep us updated--(Although--I might 'watch' it from my computer if I am home early enough to do so!)

Intercepted by The Saints!!! I bet Brady thought he was on his way to another easy score!! PSYCH!!!!
7/3 Pats---end of the 1st.

Anybody besides me here?
24/10 Saints at the half!!! Tom and The Brady Bunch are being patted down!!
I'm here. Go Saints!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Saints remains 11/0!!!
WOW!!!!!!!!! The Saints are for real. They were just faster on both sides of the ball. I think after Brady brought them back to 24-17 and the defense coughed those seven points right back up, I have a feeling that kinda took some of the spirit out of the Patriots. I think Belachick made a mistake going for it on 4th and 3 as well. If the the pass defense would have been better I think it would have been at least closer. That defensive backfield of New England's will never sustain them. Also, the Saints were just all around fast, Brady did not have as much time to set up but I think he still did okay considering, but two interceptions?????? ooooohhh. It would surprise me if they made it past the second round of the play-offs this year, too many veterans missing or hurt. It should be fun though watching the COlts, Saints, and Vikes slug it out. Minnesota has this guy who can really pass, some guy name Favre or something like that anyway, oh and a Peterson guy too.
I unfortunately--due to my medication--fell asleep during last night's game. However--waking up to the news of the fall of the mighty Pats--was definitely an eye opener for me! And yes Apps--u are right--The Saints are for real. I was doubting taht for 2 weeks because they played The Rams and The Buccaneers. But yesterday they played a team that have some fight in them and--they nailed it!

Anyhow--here is week 12 round up!

Week 12 observations:

That z next to The Colts means That the Colts are the first team to take thier division! There should be another z next to The Saints name--since 2nd place in that division Falcons have the same record (6/5) as 2nd place Jaguars does in the Colts division--are both teams are separated by 5 games.

There are still 2 undefeated teams and still no team with a tie game on thier record. I personally do not know if these two thing have ever happened this late in the season in NFL history. Any idea of how we can find out?

There are 16 winning record teams and 16 losing record teams--split 50/50!!! (That was easy math to do!)

The closest race in the American Conference is 1 game--and it goes to the AFC West Division, (Chargers/Broncos)--Chargers have now won 6 consecutive games.

The closest race in the National Conference belongs to the NFC East division (Cowboys/Eagles)--and it is also a 1 game difference.

The biggest gap between a 1st place team and a last place team in the AFC is in The North division. There is a 7 games differnce between The Bengals and The Browns.

The biggest gap between a 1st place team and last place team in The NFC is in The South division. There is a 10 games difference between The Saints and The Buccaneers.

Bills (4/7) win and Patriots (7/4) lost--puts the Bills within 3 games of reaching The Pats. Jets and Dolphins are both tied in 2nd place in that division with 5/6 records.

Cardinals (7/4) lost and SeaHawks (4/7) win puts the SeaHawks within 3 games of reaching The Cardinals. 49ers (5/6) are the only team that stands between the 2 of them.

If the wildcards teams were pick today...for the AFC the teams would be Jaguars, Chargers, Broncos, and--(are u ready for this??), the Patriots!! The Patriots as a wildcard team? Now that gotta be a whole new record right there! The Ravens and The Steelers are both tied for 2nd place in that race with each having a 6/5 record.

For the NFC wildcards pick--the teams would be Packers, Cowboys, Eagles, and Cardinals. The Giants and the Falcons are both tied for 2nd place in that race with each having a 6/5 record.

A special mention--How about them Titans????? They went form losing thier first 6 games and having no chance at any spot in the wildcard race--to winning 5 games in a row--and putting themselves at only 2 games out!! Even if u don't like the team--u know u are still force to give them a standing ovation for being the most turned around team in the league!
