The We The People group has a member who is referring to Obama as Alfalfa, yet he has denied it is racial, says it is based on Marxism.

Call me stupid, but I had no idea Alfalfa was a Marxist.

He uses that name to get a rise out of you! It worked!
Cynthia, 1) It didn't get a rise out of me, unless you consider being offended by racism 'getting a rise out of me', 2) It didn't work because he doesn't use it to get a rise out of me. He does it out of racism. No f'ing way can you tell me there is a link between Alfalfa, Marxism, and Obama. It's racism, pure and simple. Hiding behind 'he's a Marxist' is their defense mechanism so they can feel better about themselves.

I'll stand corrected though if you can show me the link between Alfalfa, Marxism, and Obama.

(Oh, but that would require proof, and as We The People group told me, "What is it with Liberals demanding proof?", so I won't hold my breath)
Why doesn't he just keep it real and call him Buckwheat? What a FUCKING ASSHOLE!!!!!
Well let me put it this way,it aopears that way because of the heading of the topic. If you go and check out some of his threads he explains why as a black man he uses that term.

I notice you are placing a lot of emphasis on the fact that you think they got a rise out of me, rather than addressing the issue.
Pacis I wasn't braging I was stating what it appeared.
LOL>....I guess I should be happy that they don't refer to him as Buckwheat! (Gawd...does the fact that I actually KNOW the characters from Our Gang make me REALLLY old?)

Absolutely nothing the morons of that group do surprises me any more....which is why I no longer participate.
Fuck it, I went and read the comment. Richie Valen's fat younger brother was making a simile, comparing the President political gifts with Alfafa's self-delusional singing skills. I don't know what to say. Apparently the conservatives thought change would occur instantly.
These people have no f**king idea what Karl Marx's theories were. They have never read Marx. They have no idea why Marx developed the theories that he did.

Occasionally, I post a bit from Dickens...who also wrote at the same time Marx wrote...about the same problems. Dickens attempted reform from public exposure...Marx want more direct action...but BOTH were discussing the CRUSHING poverty of the era....something beyond the comprehension of "Compassionate Conservatives."
And quite frankly there are some frightening similarities in today's world to the world that Marx was looking at. The very wealthy who are more than happy to fool the peasants into believing that they [the very wealthy] #1 give a shit about them [the peasants], #2 will not block opportunities for them [the peasants], and #3 are truly acting in their [the peasants] best interests when they [the very wealthy] suppress them and deny them basic human decency. The peasants stopped buying those lines in Marx's time.

Except now the elite control WMD. The peasants will just be killed or drugged.
Often times, I hear many on the rights throwing words like communist, socialist, leftist, Leninist, Marxist and so many names when they run out of logical reasonings. They feel comfortable whenever most republicans go to Fox-Tabloid, because they know they are preaching to their crowds. Prior to the last election, one Republican congressman was in one of hardball shows, he was citing the British PM Neville Chamberlain for some arguments. The host asked him who is this guy and what did he do? This guy kept on ignoring the question and kept on saying some nonsense. Finaly the host lost his patient and cornered him, please answer the question, tell me why you are citing his name yet you don't know what he did to make your case. He kept quite. It was a very emabarrassing moment. My immediate explanation was, this guy heard his name from Hanity show because I usually listening his show on my way to home.
It would have been good if our elected politicians know some of the world significant figures, what they have done. But it is really Pathetic for anyone to cite somebody or something they know nothing about. I don't know what this guys was doing before being elected congressman. but, most of them are lawyers, if he is, he did do well in his "Law school 101", which is don't ask questions, or cite examples you have no answer for.
I've got a similar story for you.

I was talking to some people on a message board about health care reform and one woman said she would feel better about it if she knew there was a board of doctors involved in making the policies instead of a bunch of politicians.

I told her that in the bill everybody was complaining about over the summer there was. A panel of physicians to help with the guidelines. I told her she might remember it better by Palin's description of them: DEATH PANELS.

Idiots... They think it's a brilliant idea when they come up with it, but become panicked when somebody else does. What was that show, one guy always came up with the ideas, then his nemesis would ignore him, say the same thing, then get the credit? Man, that's gonna bug me now...
