As another tribute to the remembering of 9/11, I thought it would be nice to have all of the known songs that are representive of that day, and all of the songs dedicated to emergency workers and military alike. If you can't find the vidieos, you maybe able to still find the lyrics by putting the title of that song, and the word 'lyrics' right after in the search window, and hopefully you will be able to find the song you are thinking of.
Also--It would be nice to see poetry, or your favorite pictures perhaps? Anything except politics and the likes! If you have an 'I remember where I was that day' story please don't put taht on this thread--but instead we would be honor to honor your memories of that day on this thread--

There are many memorials on the internet for 9/11. And in response to your question I viewed a few. All with appropriate background music. But when I think of the events of 9/11 I do not think about music. Instead I am reminded of the sights and sounds of the news stories of that day.

I remember seeing the plane hit the building...and imagine the sounds of crashing and the "whoomp" of exploding flame. I remember the firefighters and police on the scene...and imagine the sounds of sirens...and the screams of fear and panic. I remember the people that threw themselves off the top of the buildings rather than face death by fire...and imagine the sound of bodies hitting the pavement. I remember the sea gulls flying over the dump site looking for "tidbits"....and I imagine the screams of the greedy birds.

It is not music I seek in remembering 9/11....it is silence.
