Good news indeed! I will have dig out my old copy of Childhood's End.
Yep, I hope the TV treatment is as good as the book, usually not the case but ya never know. Another good old SF book I'd love to see filmed (well, only a good treatment of it, of course) would be 10 Million Years 'Till Friday by John Lymington, I really love that book too.
I am always a bit leery about how they treat a good novel on TV. SYFY's treatment of Dune a few years ago left a bad taste in my mouth.
I think I also heard that they're filming (not sure if movie or tv) The Day of the Triffids. Or was it No Blade of Glass? Gonna have to go google it now...
