Just what is the " Seven Year Itch" ?

The biggest killer of romance is routine. When a marriage enters its seventh year, there is usually at least one child, maybe two. There are jobs to go to, daycare to deal with, dogs to walk, lawns to mow, soccer games and dance lessons, meals on the fly.......in order to get it done, you settle into a routine that works. Unfortunately, that usually leads to less quality time together, and that leads to estrangement and boredom. You start taking each other for granted. One evening you look across the room and realize that you no longer feel what you felt in the beginning, and although this is a natural course of events, you miss the romantic feelings and excitement of the first year. You don't feel "special" anymore. You see friends, or family.....even people in the movies....who seem to have what you want.....and you start wondering if you are missing out on something. That's when the "itch" begins.

not to say it was right but .. i scratched that itch a few times myself .. and i didn't wait 7 years to do it .. but as i get older i realize that an itch is just that .. an itch .. so i resist the urge to scratch cause often times once you do you can't unscratch it .. and the one you're scratchin might not be any better than the one you were with .. it just seems like it will .. of course thats not always true tho .. sometimes you wait your whole life for that one special person .. who knows tho.. ?? your mileage may vary ..

What everyone else said I agree with.  The daily gets old, so you look for something new, which in time will get old just like the first thing, so you might as well not bother looking for a new person.  Maybe take up yoga or painting or photography instead.

Life sure is complicated...sigh...
