actually at the time this video was made it was 6000 pigs .. its recently been hiked up to 16000 dead pigs .. just a mere 10, 000 more .. that is if you believe the numbers the chinese are tellin us .. and they'd never lie to their own people now would they ?? so why shouldn't they have control of our largest pig producer in the usa ?? they would't cut any corners or feed them pigs anything suspicious over here now would they ??
if you look back over the last about 35 years, big business has been making substantial bets in food and water supplies. that's why farm and ranch land has risen so high and why so many agribusiness companies are so highly valued.even in the us we are facing the same trouble as all the second and third world countries as the population moves out of agriculture and off the farm into the cities and towns, leaving our corporate friends in charge of the food supply..good thing they didn't get around to dismantling the fda, osha and the epa yet like the loonies wanted to do...
So do you like Melamine in your pork? With monsanto putting those pesticides in GMO seeds and China taking over pork our food should really be good huh?
i was serious that we are lucky they haven't yet dismantled the safeguards in our country. the company has stated the chinese will be hands off management but i think we've all seen that shadowbox story before..(yep no layoffs when they take over..) i do think there will be upward pressure on pork prices since they will be exporting more meaning the pork chops and hams etc could get more expensive for us
we are indeed
This is not deep or political or anything, but when we go to South Carolina, I can't eat the bacon. It tastes too fresh, like it was killed out back. I think SC is the pig farming capital of the world or something.
Well, I had a lovely arugula salad with candied walnuts, raisins and a little crumbled goat cheese yesterday for lunch at the Cafe Bistro as my friend and I took a lunch break from our tour of private gardens! What a girlie day.
I think we have all become guinea pigs...but we always have been, but now we have more information. We are suspicious and skeptical that companies are pulling the wool over our eyes...I dunno.
Our food supply is much safer then it was 100 years ago...we are able to feed many more people...but whose to say if these genetically altered seeds will be the death of us or not.
The idea that they are being patented does bother me...along with companies buying up water rights.
China is where we were about a 100 years ago..we need to be cautious.
I've seen those ears of corn set out in the wild where the animals won't touch the ear of corn that is GMO but the other ear without GMO is striped clean. It really makes me wonder.......
thats the kinda stuff that scares me too lifey .. i fed my dogs regular dogfood and them poor critters can't talk so if anything ain't quite right they can't speak up .. sometimes i'll pick up a bag of somethin and they'll not wanna eat it .. they can't tell me why but i know its gotta be somethin so i'll call up the co. and let em know .. and then buy somethin else .. cause if they won't eat it there's probably somethin wrong .. they just can't tell me thats all .. there must be somethin thats inbred in them that they know whats good and whats not . whats food and whats not .. somehow we as humans have lost that gene .. and because of it these mad scientists are commin up with all sorts of shit and feedin it to us and none of are are complainin .. cause we don't know .. but the animal kingdom knows .. try settin out some margerine and see .. ants will march around it .. fly's won't touch it .. yet we humans eat that shit by the ton .. little by little i'm tryin to jack my diet around to the more healthy stuff .. so far so good .. i'm not perfect yet but considerein where i came from and where i am now i think dr. oz would be proud of me ..
