Kim, I don't know what's worse. Having the problems you've all your life or me that never had a problem memorizing things and now can't remember anything. I retired 18 months ago, so it's not as frustrating, but it still annoys me. Guess we all have our cross the bear. Hope you pass your course.
Well, HELEN, its been mostly annoying to OTHER people, I havent minded my memory much at all...LOL!! Actually, as far as actual "memories", I have a mind like a steel trap...LOL!! Guess its a different part of the brain.
I have had my doubts about passing it until the other day when I realized after correcting some of my dictations that i was amazed that I did pretty well understanding dialects and be able to deceipher the proper medical terms and spell them right or pretty close. So I figure if I can do THAT, even though the memorization may take longer, at least I'm doing good in the part thats important.
I live with and take care of an old lady and when she doesnt need me, i try and work on it because FRANKLY, I really dont know how long she will be here and the day she dies, I will need a "plan". She is 83 and not in super health but not sick either so who knows. I've seen people like her live 10 years like that.
OH and thanks for your encouragement!!
