I love birthdays. Mine, yours, anyones. It's that persons special day.
I acknowledge it, I don't celebrate it or forget it. I once lost track during a busy period of my life so I was 47 in my mind for two years, the first year I somehow jumped ahead.
I personally pay no attention but am reminded by relatives. Being an iconoclast I see birthdays as one of the Idols of the Tribe right in there with graduations, anniversaries, celibrating the day you got your first television, whatever. I have some relatives that celebrate everything with a party: 1st birthday, 2nd birthday, etc. graduation from 1st grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, on up 'til they make it out of High School (if they do). I find it ironic and joke about it because they are all dumber than a box of rocks.
I have a big family, multi-generations, so we celebrate with others that have birthdays the same month..it's mostly an excuse to get together once a month.
I don't care to celebrate any shape or form . Rarely hear anything from the kid's . My cousin makes damn sure i know it . He's almost 6 months ahead of me . Be 63 in June . Where have all those years gone . Don't feel my age but my body does . In my mind i feel like i did ate 30 . Except the sex part . Seems my weeks are flying by so fast now . Gotta grin and take it .
