Yeah.....the lines between romance and sex are getting mighty blurred. All that matters nowadays, it seems, is "hooking up".

actually....there has only been a brief window in history when romance would trump other items for relationships...in the 'good old days', women married 'a dependable man', 'a good provider',perhaps from 'a good family' (important when, at one time, family connections pretty much ruled business...it still does..witness wall street...george bush the younger, etc) and the bride brought her dowry and a hymen to the marriage...times change...

I was happy to be born in a time of Romance, it would still be important to me but those days are gone now I think for me but I'm happy to have those times in my memory.

ahh but they don't have to be gone lifey .. time changes things thats for sure but you can still show someone you love them and they can do the same .. it might not be the same white hot hole in your gut feelin that you had as a little puppy but its still in there somewhere .. and then you make new memories .. they'll be different .. but they can still be good .. i'll bet there was a time you could make love like a banshee .. couldn't we all ?? now we just have to go a little slower .. maybe be a little more tender .. try not to break any bones .. ok i'm teasin a bit but you know what i mean .. when i was younger i was a pretty good basketball player .. i wasn't the tallest guy but i could dunk a basketball ( had to get a good runnin start tho ) and i could play for hours runnin up and down the court .. now .. no way .. once in a while i go out and shoot around but i don't try to push it ..i still enjoy it tho .. i think clint eastwood said it best . a mans got to know his limitations .. i know mine ..you just do what you can .. the love can still be there .. you don't have to hang from a chandilier anymore .. i had to take all my chandiliers down .. so i'd resist the temptation ..

I believe my Love life could have been great and rewarding if i had meet the right woman . Other than getting off it was the Pitts . The first love was great but it didn't last . The one i married was so hung up with sex because of the way she was brought up in a controlling dad with bad memories . She felt sex was dirty because of the way her dad treated her mom . I always had an open mine wanting to try new things . That was pretty much a road block in our marriage . looking back i don't see how marriage lasted 10 years . Now with some meds i take , I'm almost dead as a door knob of getting aroused . On well i am thankful for what i experienced in my pathetic love life .

My memories of growing up in the 50's 60's are rich in thought . I would take those days over the past 30 years any day .
