How Do You Handle Nosy People ?

I have an Aunt that would get an award for being nosy . She is always asking about me and my family (Daughters) . I sometimes share something with her but mostly i tell her what i want her to know and nothing else . Most times if i say something to someone it gets back to me sometimes with in an hour with more added ....

I have the opposite problem mostly, people want to tell me things I don't really want or need to know. I grew up with nosy neighbors so I learned to keep things to myself at a very young age.

The way I handle it now is to simply ask them why they want to know when they ask me things that aren't polite.

Much like the party lines we had with the use of phones . You could tell when someone was listening in . Sure glad those day are over ...

As a caregiver of old people, i when i have themm to the doctors or whatever, some people will sometimes ask ME how old they are, am i the daughter and when my client had a lot of swelling and a rash on her legs, some lady said, What is THAT On her legs?!
