Last Friday night, after a few Scotches while visiting on the phone w/my bestest chickie Katidid, one thing led to another, I checked flights into Philly & the next thing we knew I'd booked a flight & am going up for the August Pittsburgh Meetup!

Q, do folks out your way pronounce the word "water" as "war-ter"?  I thought I saw that on a TV show the other night.....but then I thought....naw, I probably misheard it.

Not in my neck of the woods, but it's possible they do somewhere in the state...I am often amazed by the number of different accents throughtout the state. They even talk "southern" in the middle part of the state. Then again, they do call it "Little Alabama".

I really wanna go to the Pitt. meet, but just can't swing the finances. I also heard there was going to be another meet in Myrtle Beach. Anybody know about this one?????

First I've heard of it. But Myrtle Beach is RV friendly. so, I could probably make it. I've been to two Pittsburgh meets and one in  KC that i helped plan. All I can say is, The Karaoke with Odee will be the high point.

i am sooo sorry the timing's not working out for me, d's girl.  i'm moving the week before, and the week after, i need to be in Seattle for a conference, so i just couldn't pull it off this time.  it would have been soo good to renew connections with folks i've already met, including you, but there are also a BUNCH of folks that i know electronically but haven't yet been able to hug, and i'm gonna' miss them, and it makes me sad.  but i KNOW you guys will have a good time!
