Yep I have that song stuck in my head today...we are already in the 80's and are heading to 108 today....I guess I could fry an egg on the sidewalk for anyone who wanders to the lodge today.

Good morning RRC and all who apply later.  Keep cool is right, ouch that's hot.  It's a little too cold for only a t-shirt here today.

 

Took the puppy dog in for stitch removal.  All is good for his recovery.  Possibly 8 more weeks of limited and control exercise.  Good thing he is a small dog he needs to be carried up and down stairs to go outside or up to my office.

 

Have the fireworks started in your neighborhood yet?

good morning, RRC and Richard!  and good day to those who wander by, later!

RRC, i had no idea it got that hot in the midwest -- i think of that as Arizona desert temperatures!  yikes!  but we're supposed to tickle 100º in DC metro area, by Monday.  very strange season.

Richard, i'm glad Bentley's recovering well, but another 2 months of carrying him up/down stairs might get old for his people, huh?  still, he's worth it, i know.

not much going on here....  too soon to plot moving stuff or to finish the packing.  but that'll come next month!

Yes Lynn it gets that hot out here, and the wind is blowing so it feels like you are stepping into a furnace outside. Glad I have AC.

Glad Bentley is doing well, Richard. 
I have time to goof off since everyone is staying home and out of the heat.

Hi everyone!  Oh, RRC, that's way too hot.  What's the humidity like?  That's what really gets to me.  We're at a very comfortable sunny 79 here right now.  *ducks*

 

Planted about 8 lilac tree shoots, and I'm so excited to plant them, but I'm just not sure they're going to make it. I've been watching them closely for several days now. 

 

Who's cooking out this weekend?

 

Tomorrow's the start of a long weekend for me, since I only work until 10:30 a.m.  Not sure what's happening, but I have a wake to go to tomorrow.  Tragic car accident, 4 boys, all worked at the same place, a set of twins, one died, one lived. . . and another boy killed, who was the nephew of my friend.  Very sad. .  all 22 year olds.

Hello (((RRC))) (((Lynn))) and Richard!  Glad to hear the pup is doing better.

I got a pleasant surprise today, researching a possible database conversion. It’ll take a couple of months to do but I don’t know if I can do it remotely or if I’ll need to return to Ohio. First things first, they need to tell me they want me doing the job. : )
