What's been there so long that it's changed chemical composition? Is the new-car smell masked by six month old left over fries or hamburger scraps?? Could there even be small animal carcasses back there??? Do you dare to look??? Is there a murkey haze floating around back there?

I tidied up my trunk this weekend. Kept the same old stuff...beach chair, fold up chairs, even kept the broken one, sand proof beach blanket, stadium cushy pad thingies, bag of rock salt, white clinic shoes w/socks, paperback of Jurassic Park, and a fake plant from a long extinct aquarium....just put it all in a spiffy new box.
I really need to add a beach umbrella and a box of granola bars...and a collapsable shovel. Then I think I will be all set....Don't you?

I think that'd just about do it.
Except for cable jumpers.
A spare tire.
A basic tool box.
A First Aid kit.
What about a couple of dog leashes? I have 2 dog leashes in my trunk.
And market bags! Jaylee, you need market bags in your trunk, of course!
What about a jug of water in case your car runs hot?
And some power steering fluid?
I have both of those in the back of my old Rover. (b/c it often overheats & runs out of p.s. fluid ;-p)
If you're going to be so well prepared, I think you should add a flare, just b/c having one would be cool, don'tcha think?

Jeez...I'd need to buy a pick-up for all that!!! Let's see, I have my State Farm towing service, I rarely drive beyond a 6 mile radius of my home. The market bags are in the back floor space, and I have a cat leash hanging on my back door. I think I'm set...although I would like to have a flare...just to have one and maybe someday just to use it if I ever go to the beach at night and set up the folding chairs around it and pretend I'm camping!

If we're talking trunks now, George and I have two folding chairs (the kind that come in a cylindrical cover with a strap,) windshield cleaning fluid, another one or two snow brushes, a jack, battery cables, a tire iron, and a "donut" type spare tire in our trunk.
