Police Warning to Online Members

State police warning for online: Please read this "very carefully"..then send
it out to all the people online that you know. Something like this is nothing
to be taken casually; this is something you DO want to pay attention to.

If a person with the screen-name of DreamWeaverGrey contacts you, do not
reply. DO not talk to this person; do not answer any of whispers or requests
for private chat in Pogo. Whoever this person may be, he/she is a suspect for
murder in the death of 56 women (so far) contacted through the Internet.
Please send this to all the women on your buddy list and ask them to pass this
on, as well. This screen-name has also been seen on Yahoo, AOL, AIM, and
Excite so far.
This is not a joke! Please send this to men too...just in case! Send to
everyone you know! Ladies, this is serious.

Thank you Jennifer.
It always pays to check with snopes.

Thanks. I figured it was bogus since it hasn't hit the news yet. I was just about to go to snopes when I came across your post.
It's not completely bogus. It happened but many years ago.
Thanks Alla,

Snopes can be very helpful. Thank you Lynn Finley for being on the lookout too (even though this turned out to be partially false, it's a good reminder to all to be cautious). Just a reminder to always be aware, have your B.S. checker on full alert when getting to know online acquaintances, etc. Be a skeptic, always.
Thanks..I hate creeps....I pray he gets whats heading his way sooner than later.
Good info, thanks for the heads-up!
Out Dated, please check before posting things
Thank you, Bull. I was hoping that somebody would finally notice the link I posted, but did not want to rub abybody's nose in it.
This has been around for years in one form or another.
I think people want it to be true...maybe it adds some drama.
You still have to admit it.
The net can be very dangerous.
I still have not heard from that gal that flew to the UK (on her own expense) to meet some guy.
Sense I’m an optimist, maybe she stayed with him.
I did tell her, see you later though.
A lot of people think that everybody is honest, like they are. They do not check the sources of the information. I recently stopped my friend from distributing false information. He got it on internet and believed it. If he did not send it to me first, his reputation would have suffered. Most likely, his business would suffer as well. It is very important to check the sources of the information. Some people post false information on purpose.
