Deep Pitching Makes Red Sox the Team to Beat

OK, sports fans -- It's a Red Sox Nation! I realize we're only half through the season -- and as (an almost) lifelong Red Sox fan, I've seen our Sawx get close and then.....well, we've all heard the stories. I've learned not to count chickens (ever) and I wait til I see my fellow loyal fans genuflecting and crying in the rain in the stands at Fenway.

BUT
what the heck? Here's an uplifting news story (unless you're a Wankees fan) -

DeMarco: Expect a Dodgers-Red Sox World Series, complete with the Mannywood sideshow. But on the field, the AL still clearly is the better league, with the better overall competition. That and another round of home-field advantage will help the Red Sox take another title.

God willing, I'll make the pilgrimage back to Fenway this year for the win :-)

GO SAWX!!

you crack me up!
no worries. and IF you should fall off that well-traveled limb, remember there are millions of Sawx fans who've fallen in season's past --- and we're here to tell the tale of heartbreak AND reap the glory of 2 world series titles in the 21st century (we won a total of 4 in the 20th century). :-)

seriously, i wish you and your cubs the very best.

An important message from Wrigleyville, IL (Home of the Chicago Cubs)

I admire you guys continued support for your teams but this year the National League represenative will be the Chicago Cubs. Laughing, aren't you? Here's why: 1) None of you can say it's been 101 years since your team has won a World Series. The law of average says, "It's our turn." 2) We started the first half of the season off very slow with a lot of injuries and still ended up 43-43. Now we will take off. 3) Our fan support is second to none in any sport and we're all praying to the baseball Gods for some devine intervention. The Dodgers beat the Cubs last year in the playoffs, four straight games. You've had your turn. And Boston, Southwest just started flying from Chicago to Boston with a great low fare. This was done so the fans could go between the cities for a great Series (Another good omen). 4) Our players believe and are getting healthy. Sounds crazy, but this is the Cubs year. Everything, regardless to how incidental it is will fall our way.

PS. I know that I'm out on a limb, however, this is the Cubs year. I also know that if they don't win, I'm going to get my as_ lit up on this board. Go Chicago Cubs. See Ya at the World Series.
