In a new ad for weight loss company Jenny Craig, Kirstie Alley says she's "NOT CIRCUS FAT," she just wants to lose some weight.

FRIENDS.. Are you offended by the term "CIRCUS FAT"? Do you have anything you'd like to say to Kirstie?

Getting offended by the term "circus fat" would be taking political correctness to an absurd level. The fat lady or gentleman at the circus is there to make money. If they want to quit and lose weight, more power to them. If they don't, more power to them. If they want to and can't, my sympathy but at least they're making money. People take Kirstie Alley way too seriously. And. . .she's making money off it. More power to her.

Fat people are not broken, and people who use terms like "circus fat" to describe human beings—while profiting directly and hugely from those human beings' insecurities via endorsement deals and mysterious weight loss supplements—do not have fat people's best interests in mind.

But. . .Kirstie Alley talking about herself, right? She's been up and down, and up and down so often, I'm sure she's seriously unhappy about it. Even if she's well-known and can get out a message, I don't think she was intending to hurt anyone. She just opened her mouth and out popped a Kirstieism.

Yeah.....I'm not offended. That's just Kirstie being Kirstie. I know how frustrating it is to be super weight conscious all your life. I have friends who never gain a pound and they eat anything they want as often as they want. And then there are those of us who gain when they pass a bakery door. It becomes your biggest headache, and the criteria by which you are judged. I feel bad for her....and she's only criticizing herself.

Kirstie said it , but Jenny Craig wrote, approved,  endorsed , and paid her  for the ad.

Karin, you know i'm just about completely unoffended by almost everything,i live in Jersey,'nuff said, haha

nah,i don't make fun of people.

Neither do I.
