We are all here because we are single. If that be by choice or not, we are all looking for a place where we can find others to share our thoughts on being single. We are here to share our joy, our funny situations, our accomplishments and our tips to surviving on our own.
Everyone is encouraged to participate, whether that be comments, new topics, quizzes, jokes or links to great articles that effect our lives.
This is a great place to do all of this. Let’s just be nice and non-judgmental, so we are all comfortable to voice our thoughts.

How are you at making friends? Do you find it easy or difficult? I find I'm very good at making friends and find it very easy. I like to talk a lot but have been told I'm a good listener. Continue

There was so much to watch over the weekend. I love the Olympics, but I also love The Beatles. Last evening I was so torn about what to watch. Beatles won. Continue

Thank You for your comment Kim.It was really appreciated. I plan on going back to that club .My friends go there quite often.
A few years ago, i had a much different view on this. Back then, I wouldve said, ABSOLUTELY NOT! NOW, I have had opportunities to meet many people and let me FIRST say, meeting someone in church or a religious person ABSOLUTELY does NOT quarantee a great match. Jerks go to church and bible studies and nice guys go to bars and wine fests...seriously...there IS no right or wrong.
ALmost 2 years ago, I was in a sports bar with a Singles Group, watching the Steelers BEAT someone (LOL) while eating and drinking. I am not a big drinker but I always have a few glasses of water before I leave a place, even after 2 drinks. So when everyone left, i went and sat at the bar. Started talking to 2 guys who wanted to buy me a drink. I could tell the one guy was a PLAYER and the other guy WASNT so I sat on the stool nearest him and he "GOT" me a water and we started talking. He was drinking a Pepsi as was his "friend" and they explained they were working in the back (remodelling part of the bar). Part of our conversation was about the "Joel Osteen" conference that he had just went to. I figured someone who knew who he was and lived by some of the positive principles that Joel osteen talks about cant be all that bad. The guys both stood up an hour later and said, we gotta go on another job but HEY...we will be back here NEXT week and we should be done before the game starts. SO....following week, I did go back and we talked and talked alll through the game....LOL...we barely knew the STeelers WON again....LOL!! THEN, he asked me out and we have been together ever since. He is one of the kindest people I know.
I was at a club with a group of friends. I thought I mentioned that. Thank you for your input.
Depends on the bar and the meeting. I met my husband in a bar, but we were introduced by a mutual friend and it was a gathering of a singles' group I belonged to. I thought it was funny; he hated it when I said we met in a bar. Where's your sense of humor?!!
I guess you can find real love anywhere, but I wouldn't expect to find it in a bar. I mean,I think I'M a nice person, and I've been to bars! What if someone met me there, was attracted to me, but said - nah - I met HER in a BAR! Or vice versa ...
On the other hand ... I have tended to feel that way about people I'VE met in bars, lol!
