December 15 is National Cupcake Day

What is your favorite?

For about 19 years we lived in south central Texas. On the highway between my town and Houston is a place called Prasek's. They make awesome everything and are number 2 on my list of awesomness, right behind Blacks barbecue Lockhart. When we go back to see friends we always pick up some sausage bring it home and freeze it. Today is all rain so I'm looking for an excuse to run the oven. I thawed our South Texas fav. and am gonna roast the sausage, some potatoes white & sweet as well as some other vegetables for dinner.

OK....I will look into applying for a federal grant to put "pickanic baskets" and cookbooks in bear habitat locations. If I can't sleep all winter, they shouldn't get too either.

Lack of available food in the winter.  Bears don't store food or have cook books.

I guess you could call it that...but...what makes a bear zonk out for months and human's are back at it in 8 hours?

Is it because they are in a dark place and can't see the new day dawn?

I hibernate about 8 hours every night.

There was an article in my news feed the title asked why human's don't hibernate. This was interesting  to me because we do eat more carbs and stay indoors a lot more. We sort of semi-hibernate in cold weather.

What do you think...if we didn't have "responsibilities" would humans hibernate?
