TBD on Ning

trip to Sault Ste Marie, Michigan, tomorrow, after work?  Thats "Da Soo" to a Yooper.

I'm old school, I don't have any fancy music systems that come from the sky....I have CDs.  My ride came with OnStar....I think that gave me a bunch of radio channels, but I never used it and it eventually expired.

Its about a four hour drive.

I have various amounts of classic rock, bluegrass, cajun, blues, old timey, Motown, reggae, and folk, and probably other stuff too.  I don't possess any highbrow music.

What would you listen to, and what do you think I should listen to?

Yeah, good advice.  I like to sing high harmony on the country classics.

Uh, I think that's what you'd call it.  ;-0

Take some Willie, some Waylon. Some Johnny Cash....some Haggart and Jones. Throw in Bob Wills, maybe some Kitty Wells and Loretta Lynn and you got it made.

Ok....add some spice with some Fleetwood Mac.

Well now that's kinda weird....I love almost all of those artists, and don't have one CD from any of 'em.  I still have 'em on VINYL!  LMAO!

I guess I got some catching up to do!

Take some Jimmy Buffett. His music will cheer up anybody and it is easy to sing along with.

Wow, you're right, P.A.......alas, no Buffett either.....looks like I got a lot of shopping ahead of me.

Uh, can I still buy CDs?

I dunno, they're practically obsolete. I need to find a good home for mine. Maybe we should have a swap meet! We can post stuff here to each other that we want to give away & send them to each other! I love that idea!

...I'm guessing you don't have any Joss Stone to listen to on that trip? She rocks my world & gives me great energy.

Joss Stone is more of a visual experience for me.

Heh, heh, heh.

Oh crap, the trading won't work....I never want to let go of anything!  LOL!

Great List. I would love to have that on a CD. Guess I have to learn to use MP3.

A few additional tunes that must be on any road trip play list

 "Turn the Page"- Bob Seger

"Roll Away"- Bob Seger

"Mabelline"-Chuck Berry

Life In The Fast Lane"-Eagles

And some good ole Hank Williams Junior for us country boys.

Which reminds me. I have requested that "Poems, Prayers and Promises" by John Denver be played at my funeral.

here's a little something to 'stir' you up. I think it would be impossible to listen to this and not wind up in a good mood.

Plus in this vid you get to watch 2 smokin' hot women! '-)
