Maybe invite them all to a dinner - but keep an eye an Sawney ( he was a notorious cannibal )

Swaney Bean I never heard of so I looked him up......Interesting tale Funes...Reminds me of a horror movie about a village of people who were mutated from bad sea water & controlled by a creature who lives in a deep pool of bottomless water...It sounds like a bad B movie, but it actually kept my interest through the whole thing.....
It was a toss up between Beane and Jack the Ripper.

LOL.......I asked the other half if he could come up w/ 10 people & he said yes, but he was to tired to do it, so I asked him for one person..He said Jack the ripper. I really do want his whole list now...:}

George Washington

Thomas Jefferson

James and Dolly Madison

Queen Elizabeth I

Cabeza de Vaca

Chief Joseph

Aristotle

Franklin D. Roosevelt

Thomas Aquinas

Charles Darwin

Had to look up Cabeza de Vaca because I thought it meant empty head....Vaca actually means Cow in the feminine, but I also notice "empty" in the mix of meanings which is what I was going for....

Who is chief Joseph?

He was Chief of the Nez Perce in the 1870's. Never captured by the army but finally just gave up. Made one of the great speaches of all time. Here is the last paragraph.

[At his surrender in the Bear Paw Mountains, 1877]

Tell General Howard that I know his heart. What he told me before I have in my heart. I am tired of fighting. Our chiefs are killed. Looking Glass is dead, Tu-hul-hil-sote is dead. the old men are all dead. It is the young men who now say yes or no. He who led the young men [Joseph's brother Alikut] is dead. It is cold and we have no blankets. The little children are freezing to death. My people -- some of them have run away to the hills and have no blankets and no food. No one knows where they are -- perhaps freezing to death. I want to have time to look for my children and see how many of them I can find. Maybe I shall find them among the dead. Hear me, my chiefs, my heart is sick and sad. From where the sun now stands I will fight no more against the white man.

Thankyou PA...So sad to think of a race of people being killed off & the ones left in fear for their lives being made over as if they were religious & white all along...They were not & their ways did not resemble the white religious mans except to say they were somewhat superstitious, but any man who has ever looked at the stars & at himself has been somewhat superstitious...So Sad.

Nolan Ryan

Willie Nelson........you didn't say they had to be dead, did you?

Alfred Stieglitz

Grandfather......Mother's side

Great Grandfather.....Mother's side

You wouldn't need a time machine to visit Willie unless you wanted to meet him in a former or future time, so as long as you are not meeting him this moment..Thats fine...:) Very nice list Bob
