Should we ban or regulate dihydrogen monoxide?

Should we be demanding stern regulation and possibly even a ban of a chemical called dihydrogen monoxide.

Seven reasons why the chemical needs strict controls...

1) It can cause excessive sweating and vomiting
2) It is a major component in acid rain
3) It can cause severe burns in its gaseous state
4) Accidental inhalation can kill you
5) It contributes to erosion
6) It decreases effectiveness of automobile brakes
7) It has been found in tumors of terminal cancer patients

Snopes.com called this a hoax when it first circulated in 2007.

 

The chemical is real, it looks like it's mostly used in industrial strength solvents, but it isn't as "deadly" as the email spams suggest.
