Sorry Aggie, Star Trek had a replicater years ago.
A replicator works by rearranging subatomic particles, which are abundant everywhere in the universe, to form molecules and arrange those molecules to form the object. For example, to create a crescent wrench, the replicator would first form atoms of carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, etc., then arrange them into amino acids, proteins, and cells, and put it all together into the form of a crescent wrench.
This process requires the destructive conversion of bulk matter into energy and its subsequent reformation into a pre-scanned matter pattern. In principle, this is similar to the transporter, but on a smaller scale. However, unlike transporters, which duplicate matter at the quantum level, replicators must be capable of a large number of different materials on demand. If patterns were to be stored at the quantum level, an impossible amount of data storage (or a set of original copies of the materials) would be required. To resolve this, patterns are stored in memory at the molecular level.
OK, I know, I have way too much time on my hands.
Around these parts, we'd need to have Trev replicated too.
Trev is our local hardware guy....he has the answers to all your questions about what tool to buy for what purpose.
Without Trev, I could foresee a whole bunch of the wrong tools being printed.
I'll stick with buying the real deal from Trev, as long as he's still around.
Tools?
What are tools?
Are they those things repairmen carry around in metal boxes?
Can we reverse replicate? Can we erase plumbers cleavage?
I now know why old men wear supenders. As men age, their ass gets smaller and there gut gets bigger. What used to hold their pants up from below is now above. So, the only way to keep their pants from falling down is to wear supenders, or stand on their head.
