Yes, they do. But the stories tend to be rather dull...

I don't know. I'm just used to the intelligent people here.

I can't believe people on this network are talking about that bullshit still.

This health care reform is not lost just because a fringe group can yell loudly, lie, smear, mislead, and spread fear. They may attract some who are easily swayed but I still believe the majority in this country will make this happen. Tomorrow night we will learn where the President stands himself! He better stand up and be counted or his power will be diminished forever, in my opinion.

Sure am happy I received my Utah concealed weapons permit this week. Looks like I may need it with all the talk from the fringe Right Wing about revolution.

I know Van Jones certainly said some GOOD things:

but are any of the right's claims true about him? Love as I would to ignore them because, well, they're them...has anyone investigated those claims?

Van Jones turned in his resignation last night saying that the smear campaigns against him were distracting from the real issues. The CCs are going to see this as a win and they will start spreading lies about the rest of Obama's cabinet with a renewed vigor. It's very disheartening.

AND - very importantly - their housing industry too! Please note - Countless Canadians are not spending this coming winter foreclosing on their homes en masse and living in their cars or motels with their children in tow.

I live just outside Dallas, Texas. This area is arguably one of the most conservative places in a very conservative state. Since Reagan was President, I've seen these folks turn toward mindless hatred of Democrats, particularly Liberals, minorities, the poor, even the middle class, all in the pursuit of wealth, even at the expense of those less fortunate than themselves. Mind you, this area is also very "Christian" at the same time. A paradox in any terms. I'm constantly reminded of a quote attributed to Oklahoma Sooners' head coach Barry Switzer years ago: "Some people are born on third base, and think they got there by hitting a triple!"

The thing that I just can't take is the mindless ignorance of people who violently oppose issues like universal healthcare. I have no problem with their being against it. I have a very big problem if they have not read the proposals, and simply chime in against the bill like sheep following their ultraconservative talk show leaders.

Thank you. What concerns me even more deeply is the astonishing rise in the number of suicides across this nation, in just one year. The information is being suppressed.

Between the economy still in a nose dive, and the insurance mobsters ramping it up along with the banksters to fuel their commons intrests (which is the continued rape and pillage of the American people) things will become much worse before there is any hope of things improving. You are quite right Marjorie, you and me and hundreds of thousands, nay millions of people are losing hope. When a people lose hope, a country implodes. How can we have a successful workforce and a bright future for our children, when people are so deeply demoralized, they just want to die, and do by their own hand? More would - were it not for their children. We have a President who has inherited a labyrinth of nightmarish and horrific picadillos, scenarios, and debacles. He deserves our respect and our support. This is no longer about politics, it's about common decency, common ground, and our children's future. Will they be slaves? Or will they be free?
