I went to school with others that began as pro-death penalty people, did a research paper on it, and changed their minds. Bravo to you all for keeping your minds open to facts and being committed to equal justice.

Well Dean, one of my heroes, Bill Maher, is a libertarian. He believes in such things as the death penalty. I don't because there have been too many people proved to be innocent later on. But, I'll tell you. If it was found that a rapist and/or murderer were ABSOLUTELY guilty I say kill the MoFo.

Ok!! I give up. Or in. I've joined. I'm not very left on many issues, for example: I own and play with guns, I collect royalities from oil and gas wells, I drive a big RV from place to place, I spent 22 years in the military and 17 years working for a Defense Contractor. On the other hand; I think over population is the number one cause of the problems in the world, I was involved in civil rights on the side of minorities in the 50s and 60's, I am a Democrat, I am a Unitarian, I believe in free speech, but not the right to not be offended, I support unions, I think Mountain Top Removal to extract coal or other minerals is a criminal act, I believe in equality of all, including races(if there is such a thing), gender, sexual orentation, and religion. OH!!! And Global Warming.

I could go on, but If you don't get the idea by now I will have to restrain myself from name calling.
So anyway, I'M BACK. I will try very hard to read and comment without calling anyone an idiot, even if they do like Rush. (:>)
