No, but seriously: I am tempted to chalk this "incident" up to "made up news." Search it out using key terms--tell me if ANY "mainstream" (or, if I dare say, "Liberal") media sources even indicate that such an event has occurred.

I'm left with the choices:

1) It did not occur, but parts of it did--and someone fabricated the story and sent it 'round the world.

2) Someone made the whole thing up to show everyone what idiots liberal prosecutors are (etc., etc.)

3) It's all true, but the mainstream media outlets don't care or don't want to show it.

4) It's all true, and I just haven't found the mainstream source that discusses it.

I agree that capturing an enemy combatant probably does need to involve a little more violence than, let's say, a Sunday Little League game.

Also realize that Blackwater (mercenary) guards are currently under trial for opening fire with automatic weapons in a market square, killing 14 Iraqi civilians (this presumes you believe there are such things as Iraqi civilians, of course). There are also charges of rape against Blackwater mercenaries.

NOT that this reflects in any way on US Navy SEALS. NOT that it gives any more rights to Iraqi terrorists. But it IS a horrible mess out there.

And why is it (besides "CONSPIRACY!! CONSPIRACY!! LIBERAL MEDIA!!") that all the websites I can find that support the claims you post are foaming at the mouth?

Those fuckin Navy Seals, who do they think they are? God! It's good to belong to the victim party! Thanks for making me seeing the light guys. I love being PC.

Navy SEALs have secretly captured one of the most wanted terrorists in Iraq — the alleged mastermind of the murder and mutilation of four Blackwater USA security guards in Fallujah in 2004. And three of the SEALs who captured him are now facing criminal charges.

The three, all members of the Navy's elite commando unit, have refused non-judicial punishment — called an admiral's mast — and have requested a trial by court-martial.

Ahmed Hashim Abed, whom the military code-named "Objective Amber," told investigators he was punched by his captors — and he had the bloody lip to prove it.

Now, instead of being lauded for bringing to justice a high-value target, three of the SEAL commandos, all enlisted, face assault charges and have retained lawyers.

I was just browsing, I saw such rediculous comments, I couldn't help but wonder whom are they kidding!!, They say they are compassionate and blaming the left being "INTOLERANT". It is such ignorant or just down right deceptive. They ideolized the preicivil war southern mentality. Southern hospitality "Texas" we care for strangers why we lynch our human fellows- Blacks, want to have " Tea-Party" the same as what the "Northeastern" who are mostly opposed of Slavery( " Not the southern States" who fought bloody-war to keep blacks as slaves) raised against the English Colonialists. Coincidentally, when a black man won presidency- Now it is time tea party. The last two hundered+ years has been just ideological now it is time to revolt and talk of sessesion. We are christian, we help our fellow citizens, we would have voted to free slaves, government evil forced us to free them, we would have desegregrate our schools, it is government who forced us to do it, we would have done it by ourselves in the year 3000. One of them claiming we conservatives encourage acadamic independence, just we whine, our campuses are full of librals, because science, maths, social science citizens and engineering curriculums favors librals. Please give me a break, if christianity is like what many conservatives practice ( full of hates), then I don't see the differences between them and the Mullahs.
