I came across a thread on The View's message board where people were discussing this as if it were a real, modern-day threat. I decided not to comment at all because I thought they were all nuts. Obama and the Illuminati are trying to take over the world in a New World Order (remember that oldie but goodie?), and the thread was entitled "Are all Musicians Members of the Illuminati?"

Are they crazy or am I wrong?

I’ve been gone so long from here, I’m just catching up to all of this. You are very thorough, Toolmaker. What a lot of good material. Thank you for that. The Ike video is pretty impressive – seen as though down a forty-yr-old smudgy tunnel, crackling with sound – a Republican former general and retiring pres on his way out the door. When I first heard it, so long ago, I figured he was talking about how all the big boys were going to join hands and keep us small fry from crossing over, and I think I still believe that is what he was saying. And that did happen – big boys, no regs, greed and vast accumulation of wealth  by the few at the top levitating the whole rest of the structure.

            You’re keeping Satan out of this, I assume. If the small group controlling the world (BTW I figure the use of “new world order” is a commonplace standing for we’re hip about the future. Why would they give the game away?)  is shrinking, I hope at least, the controllers are mortal. (Not to be dismissive of something you are sincere about and figured Ike was as well, but I am not on board for most conspiracies. Usually the simplest take is the truest).  I think Ike meant something more…worldly…you know, captains of industry getting fat and the military sucking up most of the budget.

            So, by your theory – just to keep you going, ‘cause I think you’re going to run out of videos – some knot of power gods engineered the recession, the wars, the foreign govt. takedowns, and all the elections. Why did they pick our present pres? Who gains? And can you foresee world events to come in the near future and will you tell us?

I think the only reason they're not concerned with what we say against them is because the tipping point draws so near. As far as mortal? your guess is as good as mine.

It's not inconceivable that there is other intelligent life in control. We've been lied to for so long it's difficult to see the entire truth and where and all the deception comes from. However, wealth, greed, and control are the driving force of it as usual.

If a calamity so destructive as to interfere with all human activity around the globe would happen. It matters not if it were planned by evil men or scheduled by the forces of nature, If were not prepared for it, we shall likely perish.

I'm no fortune teller, however I just love this site http://churchofcriticalthinking.org/ if your looking for some prophetic wisdom. It goes much deeper and even much harder to believe that mere sinister secret societies. The site pretty much dares anyone to prove it wrong though.

As far as why they might have chose our current prez over lets say the other odd couple running against them, what was it Mc Cain and Palin.  Lets just say I personally believe it really didn't make much difference which team you were rooting for or which one won. Both were equally Evil. Also after much personal investigation I now believe what I once thought completely unbelievable. Bush did indeed send those aircraft into the WTC on 9/11 for one simple reason, He wanted a war. That war. and there was no other way to get us into it. Theres not much of anything in our politics or media thats actually the truth. Most people are catching onto that these days. Theres a reason for the deception and theres a reason why people are starting to wake up to it as well.

Please, by all means. investigate it. Prove to yourself what you think about our Government is correct. I believe if you do that, you'll find it increasingly difficult to ever perceive our Government as a good thing again, for it's more corrupt than anyone would ever care to admit. weather they're in politics or not.

Toolman - I'm not sure of the history of the contoversy here, but I didn't find your latest additions to the discussions, particularly odious or hateful- we're talking illuminati here, highy speculative. I don't agree with you - I don't think the world is driven by forces we can't identify; it looks fairy tale to me. But post on. I am not antagonistic to an idea that may seem odd. But bring the facts on board.

I've been on this subject for some time, I have to say, I didn't believe it either. The proof is astoundingly overwhelming though. I can and have posted many articles relevant to this. as I said in an earlier post in this discussion, just listen to some of our former presidents. Even if you just listen to them you come away with enough to believe. Very shortly after JFK made his speech on these secret societies and his desire to stop and or severely limit their influence in American politics, He was assassinated, and a week after that his killer was also killed, forever leaving us with question we can not answer. Our control over our Government is an illusion, Money is our Governments true master, and those in control over the money are in turn in control of us. Our elected leaders are mere puppets, and it matters not which party you pick.

I simply dare anyone to prove otherwise, however, no one wants to do this as long as their preferred party is in power, leaving us in a constant pissing match with the other party and or our peers. At some point people will likely realize how futile politics are as long as we have these powers influencing them.

None are more hopelessly enslaved than those that falsely believe they are free. Goeth

I think its hard to prove that any of the "secret  societies" exist or dont exist. Thats what makes them secret.

But i think it's not like in the movies, life is just dull.  The free masons are still around but for the most part, things are as they seem.
