Thrust of the article:  (Seems people are disillusioned by the costs)

The convention, to be held in Nashville in early February, made a splash by attracting big-name politicians. (Former Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska is scheduled to deliver the keynote speech.) But some groups have criticized the cost — $549 per ticket and a $9.95 fee, plus hotel and airfare — as out of reach for the average tea partier. And they have balked at Ms. Palin’s speaking fee, which news reports have put at $100,000, a figure that organizers will not confirm or deny.

The basic idea of the tea party...revolt against intrusive, big government, is as sound as its ever been, in my opinion. What the would be money muckers forget is that the grass roots of the Tea Bag Movement are not those that can afford such an outing, but those more satisfied with the $3.00 beer and dog at the local AA farm club ball game.

While I believe the "conservative" Party of NO! effort is on the wain, I believe that the real issues the Tea Bag movement raises are as sound as they have ever been, and I look for the movement to gain momentum, especially after that last incredibly dangerous SCOUS decision.
I am so upset. I major political convention was coming to town and now it is falling apart. Even our own Marsha Blackburn, a ever so slightly brighter version of Michelle Bachman, is backing out. I guess I will have to change my plans. Can I get my money back?
