Leader Nancy has rolled out the House version of the Health Care Bill and promised a vote by the end of November. THIS version DOES have the "public option" in it, although...sadly in my opinion...NOT the single payer system.

What do you think? Will it pass unscathed? Or will the Party of NO! hang so many dingleberries on it that no one can vote for it?

torture every member of Congress

I think it's time to call their bluff. I want the progressive members of the Demoncrapic party to step forward and be the ramrod! I want them to DEMAND a roll call vote, so that some of these back woods jerk waters have to go home and explain to their voters why they don't have health coverage. And I want every amendment paraded with full fanfare so that the Party of NOOooo!!! can be seen for the obstructionists they truly are.
It seems every Republican will vote against it plus Lieberman, the independent, will also. Also, I expect there may be a Dem or two who just might vote against it. Therefore, the Dems should pass this with 51+ votes in the Senate and forget about the "Party of No". They really have no interest in having anything pass because that would be good for Obama and to them that is the main focus. DESTROY OBAMA and the country along with him if need be, is the message. I think this will make it through the House of Reps but the Senate will be the test in my opinion.
My opinion of the "compromises" which have brought this watered down bill to where it is today is that regardless of what we get, the Republicans will refuse to sign on anyway, so we should just pass a REAL, single payer, public option bill without their signing on. The answer to why we cannot do that lies within our own Democratic Party. We have "blue dogs" who are owned by the insurance industry, just as much as any Republican. I'm sick of the party in power giving away so much to the Republicans, whose only goal is to ruin any real attempt at insurance reform.
The Republicans scream about how much real health care reform will cost. I don't care what it will cost! If it costs too much, then let's stop paying for two wars, and pay for Americans to get the best, cheapest health care on Earth, instead.
