Being of modest means sometimes has its advantages. For one thing you aren't always so worried about your money that you are consumed by that. What are some advantages of being poor that rich people don't really have or understand particularly?

Less $$ sometimes means less hassle for your heirs with wills, trusts, estate stuff, banks, & last & definitely worst, lawyers. And if that darn post office screws up one more certified mailing...!

I like to use the term broke instead of poor.  I was broke during my separation and I can't think of one advantage.

Broke, or of modest means, or poor. I guess that as long as you are secure within yourself, having money, or not having it, won't really matter. I hadn't thought about how you find out who your true friends are. Good point.
