yes indeed Johnnieboy, just need to be aware and cautious and if you get a bad feeling...than it is time to act quickly.
We are all glad that you learned at a young age!!
I've had the runs after too many bloody marys...
Early this summer, I was exploring the area of my aunt's cottage on Lake Erie. THAT morning, we had spotted a couple snakes off the dock near her cottage but she says they always stay in the water near the other side. Later on, I was walking around and I looked about 5 feet DOWN below near the shore and I THOUGHT I saw a dead snake on a rock but I looked a little over to his left and to his right and KNEW his 3 other "friends" were NOT dead!! I didn't exactly RUN because I was careful to look down around my feet so I didn't step on one. After I ran off, I realized, I really wasn't afraid of snakes as much as I USED to be. ANd BELIEVE it or NOT, I went back a while later to take picture because I KNEW when I told my story, my aunt would say, "OH WOW...did you get a picture of it?!" LOL...she is the PICTURE QUEEN!!
