Eating shellfish or other things...what made people decide to start eating some of that stuff?

Agriculture; the hunter-gatherers went from a 3-4 hour workday to being bent over all day planting, pulling weeds, etc.  And some of the latest research shows that where ag. was supposedly first started, in the Middle East, didn't have any reason like climate change to make the animals they hunted & the foods they gathered scarce so now everybody's trying to figure out why they traded in such a good life for such a hard one.  But that's homospapiens for ya; make everything harder & more complicated than it needs to be.

Computers for one thing. It seems so complex. Space exploration seems sorta wack, but I am glad they decided to do it. Sometimes when I watch some program about how things are made in a factory setting, I find it hard to comprehend that millions of twinkies or potato chips, or widgets can be spit out on conveyor belts and packaged for us to have is even possible. There are millions of things that are a true wonderment.
