The dogs I had weren't talkers; they just always wanted to race or make me chase them: a shepherd and a beagle. After my kids came along, we had cats. The full Siamese just spoke when she was hungry and her litters were just lovey-doveys. Only one grew up to be a reliable worker and he didn't talk much, just faithfully served as babysitter to his younger siblings.
I'm not an animal person/pet person at all, but I know they communicate.
I enjoy our 'chats'. The look on their face when they understand something we said, like 'treat' or 'dog park' LOL....
He communicates very well.
LOL... poor doggie. That collar is jus' too bad :0)
it's for his own safety, there's a lot of wild critters in these parts, besides,he thinks it's cool. it would never stick him,it keeps wild animals off of his neckpipe.
I get out of conversations with my cats by stuffing their mouths full of kitty treats. Shuts them up every time.
I had a Siamese that would talk all day it was so cute. The cats I have now are male cats, they were from the streets. Not much to say, I guess they are too thug to talk. My dog is a Black Lab and he is so friggin happy all the time, that's enough communication for me.
Siamese are great 'talkers' LOL...
