TBD on Ning

Hi awhile back I wrote about how hard it was packing up my house and you all gave great advice and encouragement. Well all the emotional stuff is long gone, it's been very cathartic, almost a cleansing experience. And now I've dragged out all sorts of furniture and kitchen stuff and stuff and stuff, for a big garage sale on Saturday. Over the years I've helped organize huge church and community rummage sales, but now here I am with a load o crap and I need advice. Got any tips to make this a great sale?

Wonderful post! I have no clue. So I will learn too!
I've been to a LOT of garage sales. The best ones are where the merchandise are labeled with prices and the best of them are kept visible in the front of a driveway. Sometimes, I slow my car down just to peruse what could be an interesting buy. If I don't see any good stuff up front, I just drive off.

Make sure to advertise in the neighborhood a week before using NEON colored signs with BLACK permanent markers. Make sure the signs have an arrow pointing in the direction of your sale.
O ladies thank you so much for the tips. I'm off to teach this morning TGIF, but once I get home I'll be marking everything, selecting a something silly to wear and I'll work on my "patter." I knew I'd get great answers and I did. Thanks
