TBD

TBD on Ning

I don't know about everyone else, but I'm sad that Labor day has come and gone and summer is over as we know it.  What things do you have planned for the next month or two while the weather is still nice?

I have a theory that it has something to so with where you were born. I was born in the frozen north...Duluth, Minnesota. If you take a long nap up there.....you're liable to miss summer altogether! I went back with my oldest daughter three summers ago, and we never saw temps above the low 70s all week....and I was July! In fact, now that I think of it....we never even saw the sun! The heat and humidity didn't bother me much when I was a kid, but the older I get the more I am affected by it. It does just the reverse to me; it saps all the energy out of me. All I do is hide indoors in the a/c. If we lived near the beach, or owned a swimming pool....maybe then it would be nice. When there's a nip in the air, and the humidity dries up, I come to life. My ex was born in Argentina....and he hated the cold. He now lives in southern Georgia. When I visited my friend in Florida in June, two years ago.....we hid inside all day, and only sat on the lanai in the early a.m. Not for me!

For me weather conditions usually determine what I can do. If I need to go traveling, I will, but going on the subway when it's 90 degrees out and the a/c on the trains makes the stations 100 degrees, not my thing any more since I don't work.

Since I live in Florida I am looking forward to some cooler weather. It is just wonderful to know winter will soon be here. I love being able to have my coffee on the patio again and enjoy all the plants and flowers in the back yard. It is fun getting ready for the holidays. Its also a busy time for me because I do my shell crafting that I give and sell at this time of year. Cooler weather gives me a lot of energy. I love it! I hope you all have a nice Fall and Winter.

Dee, I think sometimes I'm the only one that's energized by hot weather.  I miss it already.  It sounds like I'd like Florida.

You're not the only one.....there's always Tim.  :-)

That's true, I forgot about Tim loving the heat.

I'll take the hottest days of humidity over one day of winter cold.  Rochester NY is beyond cold.  I think Maryland is too cold and has too much snow.  If it wasn't for my kids and grandkids, I'd be somewhere where it never gets cold.
