TBD on Ning

so a diplomat brings a servant to the US, signs federal documents in which she makes false statements and then protests vociferiously her treatment by federal officers. Meanwhile, her government says she should have been treated better because she's from the upper classes. I guess they haven't figured out that the US doesn't have a caste system like theirs. Granted the wealthy and powerful here do manage to get better treatment under the law more due to their ability to hire topnotch lawyers, but our laws apply to all regardless of socioeconomic status. The only exception being the Amerindian tribes who are soverign on their reservations but the laws do apply to them if they commit crimes off reservation. So now her fellow countrymen are rioting. should our laws apply to her? And what about the victim? The rioters are her countrymen too but they seem to be supporting the perpetrator only. I think she got equal treatment under the law. Comments?
