I spent $11,000 on my teeth last year. Bridgework I had done when I was younger broke or teeth decayed under crowns, and I had to have surgery because a muscle was pulling my gums away from my teeth, so for me, teeth mean a lot.
But I don't LOOK at teeth first. I take the whole person in first, as well as the mind and heart, and all of that put together would draw me to that person. It's hard for me to break a person down into parts.
But wouldn't be hard to kiss someone with teeth in such disarray . I know it should be the whole package and should be . A lot of people just let their teeth go because of cost , economy or something always comes up that you need worst like the kids teeth because you want them to have a better life that you did .
I let my teeth go . They began to bleed around my gums that i could spit pure blood . One came loose and another and another , knocked some loose at work , some i even pulled with pliers . Finally came down to only one left . For years i called myself Onetooth on eon's . Back in 2007 the final one came out . What a relief it was to not feel it anymore . Never tried to get dentures because i always felt i would die soon . Still do .
teeth are important, you can kinda tell a lot about a person..if they don't tend to their teeth, what else do they neglect? but i know dental work is expensive and lots of folks don't have insurance. our generation probably has the worst teeth, before fluoride.... my childhood dentist told me i'd have false teeth by the time i was 16...ah no, that didn't exactly happen, do have a mouth full of root canals, and crowns over those, but they are mine--bought and paid for!!
My insurance plan only covered $1500 of my heavy expense last year. Like you, Lucinda, I just don't have healthy teeth and yet I have always maintained them. They just go anyway.
yeah, i just paid off the excess over $1500 too.... but ya know, it was worth it...
None of my husbands had really great teeth, and my live-in boyfriend had dentures. Never bothered me. Didn't seem to bother anyone else, either, as my first husband had women falling for him all the time.
I think it's important, keeping your mouth clean and your teeth brushed isn't that difficult. I go every six months for teeth cleaning, most of my dental work was done in my late 20's and early 30's, now it's mostly replacing a crown that's cracked or something. I floss regularly. I buy CloSys toothpaste because it keeps my teeth from staining. Since I drink coffee and tea and eat berries it really helps.
I agree with Lucinda if you don't take care of your teeth what else are you neglecting?
They carry it at Walgreens, my dentist sells it and I buy it on Amazon. It's expensive but it works keeps the stains off.
I often have wondered how Gum sex is ? Just thinking ......
With you, Wayne......thinking is dangerous :-)
