There are few I have used for a while that seem to rely on facts and do a pretty good job of vetting and will go back and change if the facts change...doesn't happen often on TV or radio or the internet does it?

Anyway...thought I would share.

Are there any you use? Maybe we could compile a list and share....

I sort of trust PBS, they always give both sides and sometimes I thing they are being too fair. I also listen to the international news my husband is the one who watches, I catch a few things if it interests me.

Here another source...I found a video you might enjoy

http://www.skeptic.com/

not politics...science and most anything else....

That video just destroyed my sound belief in ancient aliens. What am I to believe now?

Well i still believe in Aliens....

I'm with Patricia. I don't believe much of what I hear or read in the media. Done of it is wrong b/c they want to be "first" with the news and broadcast what they've "heard" w//I confirmation and a lot of it is pure speculation based on their political bias

popular media have become wedded to ratings and money...gotta be first...even if it's wrong.

So, how do you make informed choices...it's hard for me...I am always looking for sources.

I when I'm looking for a reputable a site, I look at who the owners of the site are and who the authors are...a gov or a org or and edu...not com.. I'm really careful about wikipedia...we don't allow students to use it as a source...it's not vetted. except by users.

Well ya probably know this but i have always enjoyed Fox News . Mostly because i enjoyed some of their shows like the "Five" .  Not much now since i don't have it on my cable now . I do like PBS , The Sunday commentaries .
