Yes he was. He leaves a wonderful legacy. RIP. I feel like crying.
I was a big fan of his on The Sopranos, too. He seemed larger than life. Just shows, once again, that no one is immune, and there are no guarantees that we've got another minute, let alone a day, a week, a month, or year, to do what we really want to do, so do it now.
Some interesting pics of the series....

I didn't watch every episode, but I know it was a really popular series. He really was larger than life wasn't he?
One of my favorite episodes:
My youngest sister is 50 and the other one is 51....makes ya think...can be gone in a blink. We're not spring chickens anymore....I know I am vunerable but we all are...any given day.
That was my favorite show of all times. Crest I'm gonna get a bottle of wine and have a good cry too.
what a bummer .. he was in another movie that i liked a lot called cinema verite .. not sure if i spelled that right or not .. i think its french or somethin .. anyway its based on the louds .. the pbs show from back in the early 70's an american family . it might be better if you saw the original show but you don't have to .. i did see the pbs documentary and at first thought gee this is kinda .. slow .. but once you get into whats goin on it grabs you .. and the movie is the same way only a bit faster because the pbs doc. takes about 12 hours and the movie is less than 2 .. but its a fine performance from gandolfini and everyone else too .. it may or may not be your cup of tea but i liked it a lot ..
He also gave back and supported our warriors.
