I would LIKE to but I don't want to take a chance JUST in case I could give someone Lyme Disease. There is NO cut and dry answer for this and it would NEVER be tested for because it is a MUCH ignored, sweep under the carpet kind of disease. I don't have Lyme Anymore "supposedly" but MY doctor said (8 years ago) there was no real way to know if someone (like ME) who had Lyme Disease for about 15 years ever really gets rid of it. I THINK that is still the current opinion.

I've given a lot of it over the years, when I worked the red cross came to our office every six months or so, now that I'm retired I don't do it because it isn't convenient. If there was a call for needed blood I'd be there.

I have been donating for over 20 years and am nearing the 20 gallon mark. Before that when I was attending school I also donated plasma twice a week for a year or so but they paid a little for that and it helped me to survive.
