My boss told me I could leave at noon because of the snow storm and work from home - I said I would rather shovel snow with my gloves off and get frostbite and have my fingers fall off than bring this crap home with me.

Hahaha! How I identify with that, funes!
I think it was in the 80s when I saw a commercial with a guy relaxing on the beach, obviously on vacation. A phone rings. He answers a clunky prototype mobile. The voice-over, with the sound of seabirds and waves lapping in the background, said something like, "Did you ever imagine you'd be able to work in swim trunks?"
My reaction, "WTF--NO!!!"
