What a mind blower when I just found out she was in Asheville today 25 minutes before she was to speak. I was 23 minutes away, made it on time and met her afterwards. So cool!

I just got back; at the time you sent them I was talking to Kathy Mattea!!! about nonviolent communication and was just getting a huge hug. When I learned the song by her for Christmas I was wishing to meet her. How magical does it get? I am totally psyched. I connected with her on so many levels, and talked to her about the song I wrote and want her to sing. We'll see what happens, but the next thing I have to do is take a bunch of Native med and get my voice back again, then record the song about mountaintop removal for coal.
