Do You Know What’s in That Flu Shot?

Most seasonal flu vaccines contain dangerous levels of mercury in the form of thimerosal, a deadly preservative that is 50 times more toxic than regular mercury. Most of the swine flu vaccines will also contain thimerosal, although they will reportedly make a limited number of doses available that are thimerosal-free (meaning 1 mcg or less).

If taken in high enough doses, thimerosal can result in long-term immune, sensory, neurological, motor, and behavioral dysfunctions.

Disorders associated with mercury poisoning include:
• Autism
• Attention deficit disorder
• Multiple sclerosis
• Speech and language deficiencies
It can also predispose adults to neurological problems such as Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.

The Institute of Medicine has warned that infants, children, and pregnant women should not be injected with thimerosal, and yet the majority of flu shots contain 25 micrograms of it, and this year you and your children may be exposed to as many as FOUR flu shots in quick succession.

Meanwhile, the EPA “safe” level of mercury is only 0.1 mcg/kg per day.

But an overdose on thimerosal is not the only concern when it comes to flu vaccines. Other toxic substances found in various flu vaccines include:
• Ethylene glycol (antifreeze)
• Triton X100 (detergent)
• Formaldehyde – a known cancer causing agent
• Resin and gelatin - known to cause allergic reactions
• Neomycin and streptomycin (antibiotics)
• Phenol (carbolic acid)
• Aluminum -- a neurotoxin linked to Alzheimer’s disease
• Polysorbate 80 (Tween80™) – which can cause severe allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis

Many of the swine flu vaccines being manufactured will also contain dangerous adjuvants -- additives designed to generate a stronger immune response to the vaccine.

Novartis, for example, announced it is using the adjuvant MF59® in its swine flu vaccine. The MF59® adjuvant is oil-based and contains Tween80, Span85, and squalene. In studies of oil-based adjuvants in rats, the animals were rendered crippled and paralyzed, and squalene brought on severe arthritis symptoms.

In human studies, 10 to 20 ppb (parts per billion) of squalene had a severe immune system impact and caused the development of autoimmune disorders.

I recently posted an in-depth report on squalene. If you haven’t read this article, I suggest you do so now. It contains crucial information about the health risks associated with injections of vaccines containing squalene.

But despite all the existing evidence, the World Health Organization (WHO) is actually promoting and encouraging the use of oil-based adjuvants such as squalene. In a July 13 WHO swine flu pandemic briefing note, they state:

“In view of the anticipated limited vaccine availability at global level and the potential need to protect against "drifted" strains of virus, SAGE recommended that promoting production and use of vaccines such as those that are formulated with oil-in-water adjuvants and live attenuated influenza vaccines was important.”

Translation: WHO is now specifically recommending the production and use of vaccines containing oil-based adjuvants.

Also on July 13, HHS Secretary Sebelius committed another $884 million -- in addition to the $1 billion committed in May -- to purchase two key ingredients of the H1N1 vaccines under development, namely:
• The antigen (the active ingredient or organism)
• The adjuvant
Novartis, whose vaccine contains the squalene adjuvant MF59, will receive $690 million of the $884 million. So it stands to reason that the H1N1 vaccines will almost certainly contain squalene.

With Legal Recourse Removed, Freedom of Choice is Imperative
If you live in the US you can sign the petition to tell your congress person that you are STRONGLY opposed to forced vaccination. As long as the pandemic swine flu vaccine is not turned into a mandatory vaccine, you can elect to not take part in this mass experiment where you have no legal recourse should something go wrong.

Freedom of choice in this matter is of major importance!
I also urge you to visit the National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC) and join the fight against mandatory vaccination. You can also read about a proposed self-shielding/self-quarantine bill and send a message to your local legislator from the National Solutions web site.

this is one of the biggest bunch of hog wash I have read in a long time. Do you actually think a Doctor would risk his/her license by giving out a deadly vaccine. This type of nutty stuff goes with :"the flu shot gives me the flu." Keep away from the shots, that way it will more for folks like myself. I have taken one each year for at least 10 years, and both my daughters(one got a bad case of the flu one year) hates needles with a passion but she will take any flu shot available. I am sure they have as much or more education than you. Wonder why they are not afaid to take the shot? One is a PHD the other a JD.

While I doubt there is any real danger in the vaccine for adults and older children. There is some question in my mind about the possible harm to a newborn.

it's a neurotoxin.

sooooooooo Pacis Dream ~ shall we go for sushi? I'll spring for the sake. I just know you will let me!

Vernon. Bravo! Your post should be a copy and paste "disclaimer" on every single personal (derivative) video blog of every single poster with ethical and moral integrity any where on the web. ""Trust in a medical care provider is essential."

Absolutely. And the time to set up a quick appointment is NOW. Doctors (generally) see recently updated patients faster than those not in an emergency. Think about it. Wouldn't you? "Be your own advocate" - and also appoint one who will speak for you.

you don't understand. you can google all the meetings and trouble there's been over this in the various states on your own. it would have passed a while back, but there was so much trouble made over it, they rescinded the bill....for now. they always come back. and usually more quietly.

where do you get your information about thimerosal? wikipedia?

mandating vaccines is a huge issue, pacis. it's been going on for a long time. there's been much discussion and heated meetings over it. ny state, texas, nj, a lot of places.

schools are not allowing children to attend classes unless they are vaccinated. they tell parents it's mandatory, but it's not.

vaccines aren't mandated at this time, but there's been a huge push in government in that direction. if vaccines for kids are mandated, it will be a matter of time before they're mandated for adults.

all vaccines contain mercury in the form of thimerosal. even the ones that claim they're 'thimerosal-free'. be it in "trace amounts" or not, it's there. it's what is used as a preservative. i'm aware of how ethylmercury is metabolized. it's a neurotoxin.

so are you saying that if there's less then one mcg of thimerosal in a vaccine (the fda 'trace amount' guideline) then it's ok by you? a little neurotoxin is ok? a little autism? a touch of dementia?

the thing is, these flu shots contain at least 25 mcgs of thimerosal. that's alot. gardasil contains 675 mcg of thimerosal. i've seen what alzheimer's does to people and those who love them. it's a cruel, devastating life, and a difficult death. no thanks.

again, pacis, you're so busy thinking about what you're going to say to bash me that you missed the point. the answer to your question has already been posted.

do you read or just skim?

i posted the ingredients to the vaccine to create awareness. plain and simple, it's education.

i am one of millions of people who suffer from allergies. mine are to pharmaceutical ingredients, including vaccines and drugs.

people should be able to maintain a choice if they want to be vaccinated or not.
you want it. i can't have it.

so let's just leave our health freedoms in tact and not mandate vaccines.

"The question of whether or not to be vaccinated is a personal one, as it has always been."
i agree, vernon. however, our health freedoms are currently under heavy fire and are being threatened.

many states have been trying to pass laws mandating vaccines for children, including gardasil. why would anyone vaccinate a 9 year old for a sexually transmitted disease? according to merck.com, "GARDASIL is the only cervical cancer vaccine that helps protect against 4 types of human papillomavirus (HPV): 2 types that cause 70% of cervical cancer cases, and 2 more types that cause 90% of genital warts cases. GARDASIL is for girls and young women ages 9 to 26."

cervical cancer usually doesn't show up til the age of 37. vaccines usually don't last more than 7 years. so why would we mandate this vaccine for 9 year olds? and what about young women who are not sexually active? is it fair they would be required to be vaccinated when they don't even need it? HPV is a sexually transmitted disease. that's the ONLY way you get it. these are some of the reasons why i oppose mandating vaccines.

back to merck:

"GARDASIL may not fully protect everyone, and does not prevent all types of cervical cancer, so it’s important to continue routine cervical cancer screenings. GARDASIL does not treat cervical cancer or genital warts. GARDASIL will not protect against diseases caused by other HPV types or against diseases not caused by HPV. GARDASIL is given as 3 injections over 6 months.

Anyone who is allergic to the ingredients of GARDASIL, including those severely allergic to yeast, should not receive the vaccine. GARDASIL is not for women who are pregnant."

and that's been my point all along and why i post the ingredients of vaccines. they're not for everyone -- they're designed to treat symptoms for the masses. people can have devastating allergic reactions to medications and vaccines...even die from them. i know this for a fact because i was OD'ed in an ER for an insect bite. it's called anaphylaxis. i flat lined, was intubated and then in a coma -- all from an insect bite. my fiance (at the time) told the hospital of my drug allergies, but they did what they did anyway.

i was in critical care for a long time. upon release, the doctor prescribed an epipen. are you kidding? i am allergic to synthetic epinephrin. that's part of what caused the OD. when i challenged him, he told me i was in one of the top 10 hospitals in the country, said i asked too many questions, and that i would die if i didn't take all the drugs they wanted me to after release. yes, he really said those things. AND he threw my chart at me. none of his rant resonated with me and i left my room....i wouldn't have even stuck around, but i was waiting for someone to remove the last catheter from my arm. i went out looking for someone...anyone...to take it out so i could bail.

i won't be bullied by anyone. once you've gone through all of that and lived to tell about it, you are forever changed.

even after all that, i am not anti-pharm. i don't hate medical doctors. i love the doctors i choose. one of my best friends is a medical doctor, although she and i didn't have too many health conversations at first because she's admittedly all about medicine, and was very happy to tell me upon our first meeting that what i do is "crap". yup, she really said that. and in front of a lot of people, too. LOL!

i later called her on it, and told her she was full of it, because she is the most athletic person i know...always at the gym, blading, biking...something. her body is bangin'. to her credit, she has the best skin of any md i've ever met. i used to call her 'dugie hauser' because i thought she looked too young to have had the experience she has. i couldn't believe it when she told me she was 47! she'll be 48 soon. she barely looks 30 and frequently passes for mid 20's. she makes excellent food choices, too. even her homemade margaritas made with all fresh ingredients...except the booze, of course. and it takes a long time to cut and squeeze those limes! you can drink them til there's to tomorrow with no hangover (cuz they don't have that crappy sugary syrupy stuff in them.)

none of those choices are about medicine. they are high quality lifestyle choices. vibrant health isn't a prison. it's a series of choices. so we don't suggest you drink a gallon of those margies in one sitting :-)

she used to work in a very well known and highly regarded hospital and noticed her health and happiness were declining due to the demanding schedule. she didn't want that for herself, so she changed jobs, allowing for exercise, good food and quality rest. she enjoys a very well balanced lifestyle. when she realized that making high quality lifestyle choices is what i'm about, we became good friends. she admitted to not really knowing what a naturopath does, which essentially is to provide health and lifestyle education. she gave me a list of what she had imagined it to be and i don't practice any of those things. LOL! i love good and direct communication. it gets us all on the same page.

so here's my deal:
i am pro-choice. if you want the shot, feel free to have it. not all of us can. please let it be our choice.
I am pro-upholding the constitution and bill of rights.
i am against the over and mis-prescribing of drugs. i think most people would agree with me on that one.
i am against the over recommending of unnecessary surgeries. (my dad is has a heartbreaking story).
i believe there should be high quality lifestyle education included in a health care reform plan.

The question of whether or not to be vaccinated is a personal one, as it has always been. Many, many lives have been saved through vaccinations. There have been a few problems, but they have been, by and large, few and far between. I do think giving people partial information is a serious problem, especially when there is the appearance of potentially profiting from that act. Trust in a medical care provider is essential. Better to get your information from your doctor than an internet blog. If the blog raises questions, take them to a doctor and ask for answers. Take responsibility for your own health care. Be your own advocate.
