Diet and Exercise

When I was a kid I never had to seek out exercise. It was all around me. I got up in the wee hours, got the grain for the horses, walked to the pasture, made sure they had water, gave them hay in the winter, grained them as necessary, mucked out stalls, went back, gathered chicken eggs (in the summer), did the rest of my chores, got cleaned up and either went to school or did more chores. Last 10 update and "Getting back on the horse..."

You're kidding me, right? It's December 29th already?! Where did the time go and what have I been doing?! Oh, that's right....working!! I've tried to squeeze in some good livin' (and some lovin' along the way) but work has dominated. Once fall hit I went into high gear at work and have barely taken my hand from the plow for a second. This week, however, with the offices closed, I am taking some much needed and desired time to rest, breath deeply, reflect and reconnect.

What Are We Going To Do About Stanley Schmulewitz?

There's this old guy who lives in my apartment building. He's lived in the building for about 35 years. He's in his late seventies.



This is what gets me about the guy. He works out every day in the building's fitness center. In his street clothes. He uses the reclining stationary bicycle.
