This is to introduce to you, Miss Tawana "TEE VALENTINE" Sampson. She is a native of Rock City, NC (Rocky Mount) born Feb. 14, who is a recording artist/songwriter. Tawana began singing at the age of five years old in church, dept. stores, and anywhere else that would allow her to showcase her talent. She has continued her journey since then. From singing songs in church written by her to performing in chorus in the 7th grade through her senior year, which was occasionally taught by Luther Barnes, a gospel star. In approx. 1986, she sang with the Northern Nash Senior High Chorus, N.N.S.H. Performing Chorus, The Ross Hailey Inspirational Choir. In 1986, she also sang with The Eastern District Choir, which was on several shows with Little Cedric and the Hailey Singers, now known as J.O.D.E.C.I. In 1989, She performed with her family in K.F.C. Gospel fest and received an award for a song that was written by herself. In 1997, she started performing in local night clubs and she performed and sung backup at The Rocky Mount Playhouse Theater on The Doctor Love Play. In 1998, she created a group called "APPEAL" who held an AIDS BENEFIT at the O.I.C. in Rocky Mount, N.C. "APPEAL" stayed together until 2001. Tawana decided to put her music career on hold and continue to work in the real estate industry as Sr. Mortgage Loan Originator/Processor as she had began that career in 1998 through 2007. With the housing industry slumping, Tawana began to focus back on her music again.
