Happy dad and husband

Iconic inventive accompanist musician with a need for humor

I still mow my own lawn.

And I shovel my own snow.

Interests: classical music, piano, church (pipe) organ, choirs, handbells, piano teaching, music directing, hiking, Chinese adoption, politics, restaurants, parenting

Who would I like to be friends with...:
Those with interests in classical music, music teaching, church music, musical comedy, light opera. Non music things like food, sports (huge Red Sox, Celtics, Bruins and Patriots fan), China and the adoption situation there, today's politics and the economy interest me. I'd prefer gentler thoughtful discussions and don't like "in your face" comments - though I never would back away from any games or fun questions. I am NOT interested in a sexual relationship, thank you - I'm happily married.

Hi:)

Is correct grammar, spelling, and sentence structure still important, or is it no longer that big a deal today?

Thanks for answering my post on O'Bama's education speech.

I got to looking at some of your discussions and saw the above question. I have always appreciated good grammar, punctuation, and spelling. I'm glad you (and those who posted such) still think these basic language skills/arts are important. I find their lack of emphasis and resulting deterioration in many classrooms deplorable.

Thanks. Photography is a hobby for me, but I do like it very much, and am always trying to improve. No, there is nothing online of my singing. Maybe some day.
