Haha! My profile is set to private, which may be why you couldn't post to my page. But, thanks to your welcome friend request, that's fixed now. Come on over! ツ
I really am so glad to see you here, Ollie. The place, underpopulated though it is, is still the best social site for we "people of a certain age" that I've ever found. If we get more people returning (they've mostly gone to Facebook), or if we get more new folks--who knows--we may get busy again.
There are active groups scattered about--Wall of Gratitude, Bookoholics, Q&A, etc.-- and the forum also has activity everyday. I'll send an invitation to my three groups. Only two have any activity any more--my horse group and my haiku group--my Gay/Ally group has been silent, although I still post there.
Be warned, if you're interested in writing haiku, my group's haiku is what I call "fractured" and "serial haiku" (a series of related haiku) because we don't generally follow the traditional rules of haiku, except the Western convention of 5/7/5. It's easier and fun and led many people to giving poetry a shot with great results. I'd love you to join and try your hand.
