About Me:: Let's see, I am an English Comp adjunct as well as court reporter. I am an avid reader and quasi-avid quilter. I am pretty much about living for each day and I am trying not to worry too much about what tomorrow may bring, as my life has seen many unexpected changes over the years and incessant worrying hasn't changed much of anything. I guess I am trying to develop a zen-like outlook. I have two dogs, and three cats, one of whom wishes for nothing more than to escape into the outside, which causes problems with neighbors trying to feed him and him staying away for too long. I don't have a lot of free time. I spend most of my time, when not working, enjoying my two children, who will be gone much too soon, though I'm anticipating new levels of freedom there, too. I love to go on road trips, and I love the beach. I wish I lived on or nearer water. I used to live in the country in Missouri and realized I'm a suburban girl at heart. I'm a DC native, and really like my family, brother, parents, sister. I feel lucky in that. Actually, I feel lucky all the time, especially when I am working the felony docket and I know what a great start I had in life.
