Relationship Status:
It's Complicated
About Me:
I am a "born again" Christian who is a sojourner in this life but with a strong desire to live the christian life as a relationship with the living God. I am very unconventional in my spiritual outlook and practice; because I am not willing to sacrifice the "relationship", which Jesus Christ died to make possible, for a bunch of dogma that obscures the true character of the Godhead. Questions regarding Faith & Practice welcome!!
Technically I have been married for 9 years to a wonderful woman who is really my "best friend". In all things we have lived seperate lives because we both knew our marrige was one of convenience and that we related to one another as brother and sister. She is an RN and has been a great influence on my two daughters as they grew through their adolescent years. Both are out of the house and living in different parts of the country. We are now facing the question as to whether we, individually, want to hazard the risk of seeking a final chance at finding our "mythical soul mate" with the greater intimacy, emotional and sexual satisfaction that a true "oneness" might be acheived. Or, do we just give up on the idea of a soulmate and live the comfortable, predictable, secure separate lives that preserves the safety of not being hurt, as we both were in our failed first marriages.(My first 19+years w/two daughters, Her first almost 10 w/no kids) We are both seeking God's grace and wisdom to help us make the right decision for our future's. As it is right now, my "wife" is ready to stay secure and not take the risk. While I am more inclined, and have a heart's desire, to be blessed with a women who I can love, cherish and committ too. I really yearn to invest myself in a relationship that has the potential to produce "a little bit of heaven on earth". This does not mean I am going to "jump" into any relationship because I have learned that the "foundation" of the kind of rewarding and mutually satisfying relationship I would like to share is not something that is produced over night. However, I am willing to seek and take some steps too see what happens!!=) Keith O.

Maggie - Thanks for sharing, at a time when things seem to be more chaotic, the thought of "tranquility" that all of us, to some degree, yearn to have both personally and corporately in the world today. Keith O.

Candelariadelsol - Thanks for letting me know what your name means. It is truly fascinating to find out the different aspects of our lineage that help make us who we are. Keith - Welsh for "a hilly, winding glen" which is probably why I am a nature lover. My ancestry on both sides is from England so I have a strange craving for tea and crumpets or schone's at 4pm. My sister married an engineer for BP who was raised in Blackpool, England on the North Sea. I have, therefore, had the opportunity to spend a total of just over a month in England on two different trips with my daughters along. One trip we focused primarily on London and the surrounding "hamlets" and the other we went to the southeastern coast and saw Stonehenge and the absolutely beautiful "cities" if Bournemouth and Pool Harbor. We had great clear weather and could even see the Isle of Wright out in the English Channel. Have you ever been too either Spain or Switzerland? Keith O

Well, after having taken a random pole of friends, family, daughters, church people and staring at the mirror until I didn't know myself; I decided that it is too hot in the summer to have a fury face. Beside's, most people were telling me that they thought I looked "younger" without the beard. Since it was not "looking distinguished" with the beard; I thought going for "young" was not so bad given a culture that worship's youth. So, you liked my brief off road trip into our family history. Well, it is kind of intriguing to find out what your geneology is and some of what makes you, well - you!! Well, it is your turn now! What do you know of your family history? Have you always lived, no I believe you said you lived in N.M. and another southwestern? state, BACK TO ??-- How long have you lived in OK? Where all your kids born there or somewhere else. I happened to notice your pictures being put up on your profile and it looks like you have a great bunch of happy children! They genuinely look as though they are happy to be with each other and you. What a testamony to your faithfulnes and loving care through all their formative years. I do hope that you had some help with family or friends, did you?? Chow for Now!!=) Keith O.
